I just received the sad news that American watercolor icon and beloved teacher Milford Zornes passed away yesterday morning, at the age of 100. A longtime friend of the magazine, he was always eager to share his experience and process with other painters. I first had the pleasure of getting to know Zornes when I interviewed him for an article in the Winter 2002 issue of Watercolor Magic. Most recently, he was featured in a biography of his life and career in the February 2008 issue.
