Everyone Else is Doing It
Posted by sarah
If you've been waiting for the perfect opportunity to use the time honored phrase, "everyone else is doing it," to justify or explain your potentially insane art enthusiast behavior, now's the time:
The Art Newspaper
has released its annual worldwide tallies of museum attendence. Decide to abandon all of your responsibilities and spend the next few months (or years!) trouncing around the world, visiting the following ten museums, because everyone else is doing it:
1. Louvre Paris: 8,300,000
2. Centre Pompidou Paris: 5,509,425
3. Tate Modern London: 5,191,840
4. British Museum London: 4,837,878
5. Metropolitan Museum of Art New York: 4,547,353
6. National Gallery of Art Washington: 4,518,413
7. Vatican Museums Vatican City: 4,310,083
8. National Gallery London: 4,159,485
9. Musée d’Orsay Paris: 3,166,509
10. Museo Nacional del Prado Madrid: 2,652,924
